does anyone like an beer with an "ashy" taste to it ?
iv tried a few and decided i didnt like them

i know some people like them and i was wondering what you all think

Black patent was used in the recipie, I'll bet. Or it could be the roast flavor from roast barley.

I'm not a fond lover of it, buy I can manage to drink a few.

I fekkin love it.

My Lutheran's Porter is so ashy, you'd suspect it was brewed in a fireplace.
