Default looking for 5 gallon wine barrel

i'm making a barleywine and i'd love to age it for a year in an oak barrel, hopefully used. anyone know where i might be able to find one? i did find 5 gallon oak barrels at my local homebrew supply shop, but it's about $160 and they're un-used. any suggestions would be appreciated.

See if there are any local wineries. There is one in Dallas that sells their used barrels, but Im sure they are all larger than 5 gal.

Good luck.

Five gallon barrels are strictly specialty items. A small wine barrel is 20-30 gallons. Consider a cornie and oak chips. I had the same idea a few years back.
