Default Bottling from Corny kegs

I'm a hard cider maker who recently started using Corny's. One of the things I want to be able to do with them is to rack from Primary into the keg, pressurize only enough to keep a seal, and then bottle a still, or close to still cider from the keg at a later point. We tried this last night-
1. Release pressure from Keg
2. Open Keg lid
3. Insert racking cane into keg.
4. Bottle using a siphon

What we ended up with were bottles full of foam and enough gas coming out of solution in the siphon tube to stop the siphon. How can we get around this?

Shake the keg, release pressure, repeat until you have no gas released. You now have still cider. Bottle using your party tap and just enough CO2 to keep it flowing.

an expensive solution would be to get a full nitrogen setup: nitrogen tank and regulator.

this will allow you to seal with nitrogen pressure, which won't be easily dissolved into solution, and will also allow you to push the cider for bottling without co2, so you get even less carbonation.

what may be happening to you though is you may be racking too early, and the cider may still be fermenting in the keg.
