Will the Thrumometer work with 1/2 ID silicone hose?

The barbs look small. Anyone use this with 1/2 ID hose?

Well it's for 3/8" tubing, so I'd imagine not.

I tried to attach 1/2 ID silicone tubing to it with hose clamps and it did not work very well, I had to use the 3/8 ID tubing.

Bighand: did you have to change up the rest of your system for 3/8 ID tubing?

Does anyone else have a fix for this? I'm currently in the same bind (system's all set for 1/2" ID tubing. Just trying to figure out if there's some way to get the Thrumometer I already foolishly bought in there somewhere).

There has got to be a way to make a reducer for it.

I'm in the same spot as you. I bought it, never used it because all of my stuff is setup for 1/2. and then i was too lazy to make a reducer for it.

3/8" (ID) x 1/2" (OD) tubing over the ends, then put the 1/2" tubing over that and clamp.

Brilliant! And bonus points for simplicity.

Have you tried this yourself, Shockerengr?

I don't own a thrumometer, but it's a trick I use often to adapt a larger hose onto smaller barbs.

I ran into this same issue and went with these 1/2 inch to 3/8 barb reducers on Amazon :
http://www.amazon.com/Midland-Plasti...0818023&sr=8-2

Theyre also made of FDA approved plastic nylon.
