Default Johnson Temp conrtoller

I have this temp controller. Can I cut the Thermos couple down or am I better of just wrapping it around itself and putting it in the freezer?

Just coil it up as shown in the picture. Be careful not to kink the line. If you kink it it will no longer work.

The probe is actually a gas filled tube IIRC. Handle it with care and as mentioned above, do not kink or squash it. It is more durable than it looks, but it does require some extra care over a wire lead type probe.
