Got this from averaging 25 IIPA recipes. Wondering if the hop profile would be balanced?

Ingredients:

14.50 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 85.3 %
0.50 lb Cara-Pils/Dextrine (2.0 SRM) Grain 2.9 %
0.50 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L (40.0 SRM) Grain 2.9 %
0.50 lb Rye Malt (4.7 SRM) Grain 2.9 %
0.50 lb Victory Malt (25.0 SRM) Grain 2.9 %
2.00 oz Simcoe [13.00%] (60 min) Hops 70.6 IBU
0.65 oz Warrior [15.00%] (90 min) Hops 28.3 IBU
1.35 oz Cascade [5.50%] (20 min) Hops 12.2 IBU
1.00 oz Centennial [10.00%] (5 min) Hops 5.4 IBU
1.50 oz Glacier [5.60%] (Dry Hop 3 days) Hops -
0.50 lb Corn Sugar (Dextrose) (0.0 SRM) Sugar 2.9 %

I would consider adding one more addition of Cascades at Flame out. Another ounce.

It really adds a nice aroma quality to the beer. Turn off the heat, toss in the hops and chill. The oils will be released but not driven off by boiling or heat as you cool it quickly.

Or the short answer: "Because Yooper suggested it for IPAs and I do what the Lady says."

I don't know about Victory in an IIPA. I love it in a PA but I don't know if a bready or biscuit type flavor would be good in a IIPA. You could certainly get away with throwing another half pound of sugar in there if you want too.

Yeah I was thinking about that myself

Do you all think 2 oz of Simcoe at 60 mins would make it too joltingly bitter? Maybe reduce it down to 1.5 and up the cascade to 2 oz?

I say keep the victory and lose the rye (or increase it) and cara-pils. 3% rye won't do squat for you. Same with the c-pils. The c-40 for is OK for a little color but why the c-pils? Can't be for body because the sugar will negate that. What temp are you mashing at?

Lose the Rye. IMO. What about munich malt? Cara pils i think is good.

Like I said I this is the raw result of averaging 25 IIPA recipes.

How much to increase the rye to? 5%, 10%?

Carapils improves head right? At least that's what I thought?

Plan on mashing at 154F.

Most recent IIPA I made I mashed at 149, Id suggest going to 151 at the highest for the mash unless you want a sweeter and heavier bodied IIPA. I personally prefer mine a little bit drier.
