Ok, so I'm looking to create my first recipe and also looking to get into the world of partial mash brewing. I have been rolling on extract brewing for a little while now and I really feel comfortable with my process and my sanitation.

My questions are... Where/what can I use to learn base grains for different styles of brew? How do you know how much to use of a specific grain?

Any help would be appreciated on this. I'm really looking to expand my horizons on brewing and start making my own concoctions. I want to pride myself on making something more than what someone gave me the ingredients and directions to.

Thanks!

http://www.amazon.com/Designing-Grea...sr=8-1&s=books is a really great place for any info pertaining to designing great beers if you can believe it.

Yeah, you gotta buy Daniels's book and start to understand your wort composition from a Gravity Units standpoint.

Thanks. Look like I'm gonna have another read on my hands. I appreciate it.

The HBT Ingredient Guides - REDUX sticky is a good resource for grain, yeast and hops information.
