Hi all

I bought the above kit and followed the instructions perfectly, and while it was fermenting it went bang and the airlock flew out and most of it went on the ceiling and floor. What can cause this? like i say i followed the instructions pefrectly, i was a little concerned that it asked for 1300grams of sugar for just 1 litre of wine, i only put a 1000grams in 40 pint beer kits, and also it said to top the demi-jon right up to the top and i have not done this with other wne kits, does this seem right??

You said 1300g of sugar per litre, your right, it does seem wrong. Should this not be per gallon? When I make wine from a kit (usually Solomon Grundy) I put 700g in the Gallon initially then add more for taste if required in the secondry ferment.
