I'm just starting out and wanted to do a simple pale ale that I can grow from.

Using ProMash I came up with this really simple American style pale ale but needed to know what you guys think and will it work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

REVISED

Generic DME -Light 3lbs
Generic DME -Light 3lbs @knockout
Crystal 60L .5lbs

Centennital .5 oz Boil 60 min
Cascade 1.5 oz boil 15 min
Cascade 1.5 oz boil 5 min
Centennital 1.5 oz dry hop

WYEAST 1056

Batch Size 5.5gal
SG 1.053 / 13.09 Plato
9.5 SRM
34.9 IBU

Reason: forgot to add the yeast

looks good, but id move that 25min addition to 15-20mins to gain some more flavor from it.

You know I almost went with Nottingham, but at the last min decided to get the wyeast 1056

I'm going for a clean, crisp classic pale ale, easy to drink.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. My limited knowledge says so anyways.

Yea it looks like it will just looking for suggestions, I took the one of changing the hops from 25 to 15. going to bring the IBU down to 31.3.

Looking to keep the IBU around 35.

Should I dry hop with centennial instead?

either would be perfectly fine. Personally I like S-05 better than both, but its basically the same as 1056

for the dry hop, go with whichever smells better to u or mix them if you cant decide

oh btw, you didnt list the C60 weight, but apparently is 9oz
