I just got done making my first batch of beer. One week in the bottle, but I tried one and it is great! Now SWMBO is wanting me to make her a small batch of cider. She's a big fan of Woodchuck Amber. What recipe would you recommend? I know apfelwein is pretty popular here, and I want to try it, but would it be too dry for her tastes?

How would you make a small batch? Im getting ready to start an IPA, and I only have one fermenter. Plus she only wants to try a little bit so she knows if she likes it. Thanks for any help!

Just make a 1 gallon batch.

^ that recipe works good for one gallon batches.

Have SWMBO taste the cider as it nears full fermentation, and when she likes the taste, throw it in the fridge and keep it there until the gallon is consumed.
