Midwest...with shipping to socal 147.77
Morebeer 129.60 without DVD/book
Northernbrewer w shipping to socal 170.24 no book/dvd

Just thought I'd post my results. It seems the midwest starter kit has been the really "go to" kit lately. This is the price of the exact same package as the intermediate with better bottles or glass carboys package from midwest. Here are the big 3 online ordering company's prices with shipping to where I am. Midwest and morebeer are pretty much a tie when you factor in the book/DVD which is $13 for Papazian's book (my choice after the freebie "How to Brew". AHS is great but has much different products, so hard to compare.

Shipping really jacks up the prices if you can find a homebrew store close i would go that route.
