A tripel recipe (Bornem Tripel from Clone Brews) contains 1lb of rice solids. WTH is that? Is it rice hulls, rice syrup solids, or plain white rice?

DUUUUUUUUUDE, c'mon...do a search..the feature works really well...
Rice solids, or rice syrup solids are similar to DME, its not syrup like LME, but a solid form of rice syrup similar to DME...

Syrup and solids are interchangeable, but like LME and DME ther are different ratios becasue of the amount of water the liquid form contains.

That said, too bad recipe doesn't just say Rice DME. Would be less confusing for a n00b

Rice syrup solids, rice solids and not the same thing. Rice syrup solids are the dried solids from rice syrup.
Rice solids would be like flaked rice, or liquefied cooked white rice, like a watery rice soup the Chinese eat daily.
Now my question is how to prepare wheat berries for use in the mash, a watery wheat soup that no one eats daily?
The more these people can control info, the more they have you at their mercy.
