Youngs double chocolate stout. Now I remember why I don't regularly drink it.

Put away a Mons Abbey Witte last night along with some Thai food. Very nice.

Far too dark for to stick with my original name of Kiwi Pale Ale. I dub thee... Kiwi Red Ale. The Motueka and the Nelson Sauvin pair together very well. I'm not getting as much of the white wine notes as I was hoping for from the Nelson Sauvin, but they're definitely there. I think the next time I make this there will be some Nelson Sauvin thrown in with the late additions and Motueka thrown in with the dry hops. This one had all Motueka late hops and all Nelson Sauvin dry hops.

P.S. Yeah, I'm drinking a beer at 9 AM, big whoop, wanna fight about it?

Looks great. I've been thinking about making a pale ale highlighting Nelson Sauvin hops.
Oh, and 9:00 too early to drink a beer? The way I see it, there's no better time than the present to enjoy a beer.

You won't regret it.

Sweet! I should be sourcing some Heady soon for a similar experiment. Harvest the Conan yeast and then come up with a solid clone. Figure it'll be easier to brew than to score Heady in my neck of the woods!
