The polls would be a little bit less ridiculous if they asked basic questions, like "malty beer, pale ale, or IPA?" instead of "which seven-hop addition would you prefer?"

Same here on the losing interest, as well as last years recipe being bad. I have 4.75 gallons of mine left, which tastes like rocket fuel because all of the honey fermented out too quickly. Also, the smoke didnt come through at all, and the flavors went abstract. But, even though it was way less than perfect, at least the process of compiling it was a lot easier.

I know it's contrary to the 07.07.07 "spirit," but I've pretty much decided to brew Brewsmith's grain bill, with 28 IBUs of Northern Brewer at 60 minutes, and a yet-to-be-determined yeast. If that's the final 07.07.07 brew, great - if not, I'll have a better-tasting brew that what will likely result.

I personally never cared for my version but I brought it to tasting night at the LHBS twice and folks raved over it. It was easily the most popular beer there. The 1/2 gallon growler was drained quickly both times.

It sounds like 07.07.07 is dying so I'm going to figure out something else to brew.

I think I'll do for 7.7.7 what I did for 6.6.6..... sit around and largely ignore the thread(s). Occasionally ask someone how theirs turned out, and listen to the poor review.
