6 lbs Breiss Golden Extract

.5 lb. Crystal 40L malt
.5 lb. Golden Naked Oats
.5 lb. Carapils
2 oz. Roasted Barley

1oz. Challenger hops (6.9% AA) 60 min
1/2 oz. Eastern Kent Goldings (4.2% AA) 30 min
1/2 oz. Eastern Kent Goldings (4.2% AA) 10 min

1/2 tsp Irish Moss (15 min)

1lb clover honey (flameout)

I'm not sure if the golden is a brand name or a trade name. Any naked oats, or probably any kind of oats you could find would work. Being a steeped grain, you really don't get any fermentables out of the oats, It is just the proteins that aid in head retention and "mouthfeel". I have gotten the golden naked oats from midwest, so I know they are available there.

Can you get some fermentables out of steeped grains if you add enzymes to the mash?
