Red ale recipe suggestions?
I am planning on making a red ale using a Mr. Beer extract and some DME. My main question is, what kind of hops would go well with this? This will only be my 2nd beer (of red ale), so I don't really know which hops would be best suited for this type.
I have these hops available to me to use: liberty, mt hood, galena, saaz, and columbus. ( 1 oz each )
This is what i have in mind.. just using random hop boil times to acquire a what seems good amount of IBU.. i like hoppy beers but i wanted this one to only be moderately hoppy.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
