Default Root beer bottles

For my newest batch of homebrew i was a few bottles short of the usuall two cases, and i discovered that IBC rootbeer is only slightly more expensive than empty bottles from the homebrew store, plus i get rootbeer. is there any problem in washing these bottles out and using them for my homebrew?

Nope. If washed well and sanitized as usual, there won't be any residual root beer smell or taste.

Good point. If they are screw top you may not be able to get a good seal.
