Has anyone read about/seen this before?

It was just a matter of time. Still need to have a CO2 source.

We have them over here. Most of the smaller breweries sell there beer in 5 and 32 boxes called polypins.

They are like a take out.

Some people actually use them ase fermenters and reuse for serving.
Brupack sell brew box kits.

This seems pretty cool. Basically an instantanous force-carbing when the beer is served. So Orfy, can you tell the difference?

I guess I could.

Do a taste test on flat beer put through a Soda stream and real ale.

The bubbles on a Soda Stream are larger and release quicker. Thus drastically changing mouth feel. I guess head retention would be an issue unless they add chemical foaming agents.
I have a feeling that you would not get craftbrewers wanting their beer to be instantaneously force carbed.

I like the smaller bubbles. The big "fish eye bubbles" just don't look right in a beer.
