Sorry I posted the recipe incorrectly. I am working on the metric system (i'm up in Canada) so it was 3 kg of LME, which would convert to 6.6 lbs not just 6.

But thanks everybody for the input; you absolutely put all my worries at ease. I'm sure this brew will work out just fine.
