Default Blending beers ?

Does anyone know if you can blend two beers together at different stages of fermenting and aging to produce maybe mellow tastes or maybe ,,I don't know ,just a thought.

Sure, it's even done commercially. Newcastle comes to mind and there are probably plenty of others.

Look up 'krausening.' Traditional German technique. Guinness even blends in a bit of soured beer with fresh beer to get a distinctive taste, though that's a bit more unusual. And some british breweries blend in a bit of their finest cask-aged ale with the more regular fare to add a bit of complexity.

Not sure about different stages of fermenting, could be interesting. Breweries blend all the time before and after fermentation though. Mmmm Gueze.

Also for those who keg, blending can be a LOT of fun. Yesterday we did an amber/stout, delish!
