Default Extract - Simple Witbier - Specialty Grains (NOT a Blue Moon Clone)

Yeast: Wyeast #3944
Yeast Starter: None
Additional Yeast or Yeast Starter: None
Batch Size (Gallons): 5
Original Gravity: 1.048
Final Gravity: 1.005
IBU: 13.5
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Color: 5
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14
Tasting Notes: Light citrus taste

I looked at a few recipes on here, and decided to go with my own variation. This was very simple to do, and was my first brew ever. It's been bottled for just over 3 weeks, and is delicious. I used 3/4c table sugar for bottle conditioning. The carbonation is just perfect, and it has a nice white head on top.

1.00 lb Extra Light Dry Extract (3.0 SRM) Dry Extract 15.38 %
1.00 lb Wheat, Flaked (1.6 SRM) Grain 15.38 %
0.50 lb Oats, Flaked (1.0 SRM) Grain 7.69 %
1.00 oz Saaz [4.00 %] (45 min) Hops 8.8 IBU
0.50 oz Coriander Seed (Boil 10.0 min) Misc
0.50 oz Orange Peel, Sweet (Boil 10.0 min) Misc
1.00 lb Candi Sugar, Clear (0.5 SRM) Sugar 15.38 %
5.00 gal San Antonio, TX Water
1 Pkgs Belgian Witbier (Wyeast Labs #3944) Yeast-Wheat

The actual grains are steeped for 30 mins at 160 degrees. Remove grains, bring to a boil and drop in the DME and hops.

What did you use the "Candi Sugar, Clear" for? Was that just for carbonation or did you add that in with the boil?
