Where the hell did you get snow? Ship it in? We haven't had a total of an inch all year yet up here in Albany.

edit: just got to the bottom of your post wish I could get away with a snow day. Got to save my time for our trip to Florida the end of Feb.

Mashed in missed my temp by 4 deg topside. Oh well at 158 it will be more stout-like anyway. Mash smells like chocolate biscuits.

What's in Florida, Dave? Other than gators and palm trees, of course.

I envy you and you work-skipping ways. I have a batch to do up this Saturday, but methinks I feel a bit of a cold coming on. Maybe even norovirus. It feels like it will be peaking Friday at about 7:00AM. Hmmm.......

That's odd; I though high mash temps converted quicker... time for an iodine test.

We had a big snow recently, but it was too cold to ferment. But this gives you an idea of desert snow:
