Didnt see any peach mead recipes. I want to make one soon and it will be my first. Some things I read on the internet said use a lot of peaches. I just need a little push to get started, i thought about adapting another fruit recipe with peaches.

I want to make a 1 gallon batch
Time is not a factor
Its getting colder here so thats not a problem
Nothing too difficult

Also, i made the apfelwein a year or two ago and couldnt stand it, even today i tried one and it was just too dry and wine-tasting to me. How does mead compare?

I am swinging wildly at brewing...

I'd do about 2.5 lbs of honey per gallon, and maybe 3-5 peaches for a gallon and see how it turns out. Mead can be dry or sweetbdepending on the yeast.
Fermenting/Kegged/Bottled NONE :( I moved to the NW and haven't had time to setup my brew rig since! (but hey, I'm in the Pacific NW so there's so much awesome beer I don't need to brew it as much hah!
