Default First Honey Harvest, First Mead

My first mead is in the fermenter, made with 17 pounds of my own backyard honey. I've been beer brewing for about nine months, beekeeping for about four. Looking forward to learning about mead. I've printed the Sticky FAQ and read and reread the Schramm book. I intend to brew up a new batch or two each time I harvest honey, once or twice a year.

Good on ya! Keep it up, it's worth it. ...the beekeeping and the mead making, that is.
Some knowledge will never be shared, not from a desire to conceal it, but because it is so common to the individual that it is assumed to be already known.

It's something that I think I will do in the future when I get a bit more land. It's one of those things that if my wife can see it, she won't go for it. Even though bees travel for miles and miles. If it's anywhere close to the house she won't let me do it. So when we upgrade to a different house with more space I am going to likely try it.
