I built one of these 5 years ago. I don't use too often( my basement stays around 64 in the summer) but when I do it works well. On top of that it's fairly cheep to build:

These are not cheap if you buy them new, but work well since I can control the temp from low 40's up to 66....if I need something warmer I just leave it out in the ambient room, if I need it colder I put it in the kegerator.
I went looking at wine coolers like you showed here, but they all have a huge hump at the bottom where the cooling unit is that takes up all the room. I haven't seen any that have enough room for even 1 of my buckets.

The one I have has the hump in the back, so I can get one bucket or 2 carboys in it while my cellared beers and a few wines set up on the hump in the back.
