I'm so lucky being in my area (near Portland)! 50# sacks of great western 2-row and pale are only $30, sometimes a couple dollars less! And no sales tax! I don't know what shipping is but you could try my LHBS, mainbrew.com.

I just bought a 50lb bag of Briess 2-row for $45.00 at the LHBS, I'll pick it up today after work.

What's everyone paying right now?

I believe my LHBS is up to $65 for 55lbs of Briess American 2-row (the most basic of basic malts)

About $40-$50 per sack. Briess' packaging sucks (since they are not lined like most other maltsters), so I try to go with Rahr instead for my domestic 2-Row. Not sure what the current price is on British Pale malt at the LHBS.

Good find. I don't really have a LHBS, 50miles each way to the only one in the area.

The hop prices are good, and the free shipping is a BIG plus.

from everything I have seen about $1/lb is as good as it gets for shipped to your door. I could only getter a better price if I picked it up.

So this seems pretty normal.

For the guys who don't have a LHBS, try to get in on a group buy. If there's none by you, start one. The one by me, a sack of 2 row is around 35, and MO about 40. And you could always chop up a bag with a couple other people. Definitely going this route since I'm getting my BC tomorrow

Signed up for an account, looks like this is being done by Rebel Brewer according to the email address the confirmation email was sent from.

Now we know it's a reputable source, I'm pumped! This might very well be the place I buy my first sack of grain.

I wonder if they are skimming 5 lbs off all the sacks to make them 50lbs?
