I did the same thing for Urgent! (Except it was not for a gig. It was just me in my bedroom... Never managed to get it all done back then, but I could probably figure it out now...)

Dire Straits - Your Latest Trick - awesome stuff, but a bit melancholy. Take Five is always classic. - of course, that slides over toward Jazz, not Rock & Roll. And if we're going toward Jazz - Dave Koz has a few incredible pieces.
