OK so I am REALLY excited about this! I love Sam. Love his writing. Love DFH.

but......................

Why wouldn't they pick up Three Sheets? They seem like very similar shows. I know that Three Sheets was pitched to Travel and this is Discovery but they are both owned by Discovery Communications. Don't get me wrong because I am so happy that this type of programming is making its way to cable but I don't understand why Three Sheets had to go.

+1 on the DVR list. Really looking forward to this after seeing Beer Wars. Sam has a great approach to brewing and sharing his passion of beer with others! Should be a great series.

I have loved Three Sheets since I discovered it on the Mojo network years ago. Supposedly they are working on bringing it back on the Travel Channel. Last I heard they were going to re-air some of the best episodes to gauge viewership and if those do well enough, they were going to make new episodes.

I agree though, this new show does sound a lot like Three Sheets. I'm hoping this one will be a little more indepth and behind the scenes. Three Sheets did some of that, but was mostly about pub hopping, regional drinks and local hangover food. I think the two could co-exist and still be fun to watch.

I saw Three Sheets. I don't think the host could keep up that kind of drinking...er uh....production schedule for too many more seasons. Ever seen the old show on Comedy Central with Dave Attel? I forget them name, but basically he just stayed up and wandered around some random city seeing the sights and drinking all night. He said he quit doing the show because he just couldn't keep up anymore.

I am really excited to see this show and look forward to the entertainment. However, I am less enthused about having to listen to the obnoxious bar patron, who after seeing this show, now knows all there is to know about beer. Usually, when this happens I just try to nod my head and smile.

But the show looks good, and you cant harp on expanding the US interest in homebrewing/brewing
