I took a gallon of organic, pasteurized, unfiltered apple cider and drained off about a pint and pitched some yeast (safale US-05) that I had washed from my last brew with some molasses.
OG was 1.052 and it is now bubbling away nicely. I took a hydrometer reading and it has dropped to 1.04 and tastes great.
