Default 1 st lager and starter

I am going to try my hand at my first bock. I am going to try Evan's Feat of Strength Helles Bock, and had a question about the starter. Up to now I have been brewing ales, and can keep the starters at room temp. Since I am doing a lager this time do i need to make my starter at lower temps, or can i make the starter at room temp?

TIA

I usually do mine room temp, cool and decant, then pour it in with the wort and yeast at the recommended fermentation temp.

Some people start lagers warm and then slowly chill it when they see activity. This way produces more diacetyl, which you probably don't want.
