I was recomeneded to cold crash on this forum and I was wondering how long does it take to carb If you do for wlp051 or wyeast 1056. Is yeast even a concern here? just a general idea would be fine.

btw im bottling

Cold crashing should have little or no effect on carbonation times. Unless you cold crashed for a really long time and got nearly 100% of yeast out of suspension, there won't be much difference in carb time if you warm it up and then go to bottles. So, you'll be fine to proceed as normal, and if you're overly concerned, just suck up a little of the yeast cake from the bottom when racking to a bottling bucket to make sure.

I cold crash, add gelatin finings, and still have no problem with carbonation once the bottles have been at room temp for at least 2 weeks. I wouldn't worry about it, there's still plenty of yeast in suspension

thanks scottland yea I plan on cold crashing im trying to stay away from gelatin finings as I believe I read "once" that it takes out the nutritional properties of beer. There is not thread adressing this issue and I am concerned as I like a nutritious beer.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH....nutritious beer.......think I just may have one for breakfast today. and lunch.

The wife walks in on me drinking a beer at 7:00 AM "what the hell are you drinking?" my bottled vitamins.
