Just as my hops were coming into maturity, Hurricane Earl arrived with high/sustained winds.
The result is that most of the cones exposed to the wind are now brown where they were bruised by banging into the structure they climb etc.
I am harvesting and drying my hops now and I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion about discarding or using these cones. They're not a pretty sight, so if I were selling hops these would go to compost. But for home brewing...?
