Default Carbonate cider in 1 gallon carboy?

New to forum and homebrewing. Will a 1 gallon glass carboy withstand carbonation?

I don't think so, but I haven't tried it myself. 2 litre soda bottles do work well though.

Carboy's are not made to hold pressure. Don't do it.
