Default New Brewer in Waterloo Ontario

Hello;

I am from waterloo ON, and hoping to make my first batch in the next week. Where are the best places to get supplies in the area? I have found the Brew House, which doesn't seem too terribly priced, but what I really want to find is a Wheat Malt extract in the area.

Thanks;
Sean

Welcome Sean. I can't help you with local LHBS (local home brew store) but did want to send you best wishes on your first brew. Using a good quality kit is a great way to start!

Wwelcome Sean, why not join us here http://barleyment.wort.ca/staticpage...x.php?page=faq and ask our members.

Join our local club the Grand River Area Brewers (aka GRAB).

http://www.homebrewtalk.com/groups/g...-area-brewers/

We happen to be having a meeting tonight.

PS If you search through the group posts you'll find a thread about where to find stuff locally.

Hey, I used to live in that neighborhood. I found many places in Guelph catering to the wine maker market. I would recommend taking a trip there, everyone I knew in that town made their own wine, so competition is high and the stores are knowledgeable.
