I'm looking at doing my first parti-gyle brew. After reviewing several other threads, I think I have a pretty good handle on it, but I was hoping to get someone to review my plan and make sure I'm not missing anything.

Recipe: Parti-Gyle DIPA/IPA

You will need to hold back some of the first runnings either in the tun or another vessel to get that split.

Why do you say that? I am basing the numbers from from Revvy's experience (Let's Partyyyy(gyle) that is!!!! Pumpkin Porter AND Ale from one mash!?!) with a 60/40% efficiency split and an overall efficiency of 70%. Am I missing something yet in the numbers?
