Hmmm . . . why would you do that?

Explain to me what you are trying to do, and I may be able to help you out. I back up all my dvds . . . the kids are tough on them

Do you need to make them AVI?

If you want to back up the DVDs then
DVD Shrink is a good one along with DVD43

You're backing up physical media by placing it on a temporary storage medium?

Just say "How do I rip DVD's." Plenty of sites out there will teach you how.

yeah i use dvd shrink all the time, i just havent been able to find a good program to rip them to avis...

Be careful of the free programs that claim they can do this. Many of them are bogus and full of malware.
