It came out pretty cheesy but I'm really trying to get the hang of my video editing software. Maybe it can help a few new brewers.

Some rough edits here and there, but good overall quality and information. I like the tip about filling bottles over the open dishwasher! Why not just use the dishwasher on a high temp or sani rinse mode and heated dry to sanitize? Also, there has been much debate on One Step actually being a cleanser and not a sanitizer, but I won't get into that again...

A tip back to you would be to add a filler wand with spring loaded tip to help out with the filling. It makes it easier to control the flow and leaves you with the right headspace more or less automatically.

Nice job. Can't wait to see more when you get to AG!

Good work.

Could do with a little audio normalisation (balance) a lapel mic may help.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I definitely see points for improvement in the video technique. I didn't have a camera operator for one thing, so tripod work was it. The lapel mic idea is a good one and I'll try it if I ever find a steal on one. I actually did strip out the audio and run it through noise filtering and some expansion/compression to normalize but I was spending more time than I had. Same deal with the rough cut edits. I initially had a smoothly cut 12 minute/70 meg WMV that I just felt was too large.

On the bottling procedure, I don't trust that the diswasher jets have enough access to the bottles through the necks. I used onestep in the vid but I actually use Iodaphor a little more frequently. I have to wonder though, the name "one step" would be a little misleading if it didn't sanitize. Anyone have any problem with infection using onestep?

Yup, I recognize that a bottling wand would shave off a bit of frustration, but then again so would a bottle sanitizing bowl/pump thingy would too.....AND KEGGING! :-) It's a never ending quest to spend more money to make brewing easier.

Good work.

A fade in between cuts will cut the jumping.

You might also want to reconsider the subliminal plugs for Nabisco (Triscuts and Ritz) and Coors products. Nice suncatchers in the window too. I'm sure they make bottling sessions a bit more cheery. Just kidding. It's nice to see someone who goes a bit further to try and expand and clarify the hobby. Nice job.

Hey! That's really fantastic. The hell with what people say about the audio or whatever, sure it could be better, but the info and the opportunity to just see someone else's procedure was fantastic! Thanks for taking the time!
