Default Yeast washing

I don't know why this is so cool to me... washed some s-04 yeast 4 months ago and forgot about it in the back of the fridge. Mashed a pound of 2 row in a gallon of water and boiled down to maybe 3 qts...pitched in the yeast slurry then decanted it, tossed the decanted slurry into an oatmeal stout and it is going like crazy.. FOUR MONTHs OLD!! That amazes me for some reason.

I just harvested some ommegang hennepin saison yeast which I think I'm going to use to brew a Belgian IPA. Should be interesting.

do you bring it to room temp.. "feed it" ( I assume this means malt and or nutrient?) then put back in the fridge?
