For my very first post here I'll ask a question that I gotta believe has been asked before ... tried search but failed..

I prefer to brew in my kitchen. I just brewed up my first batch, and used the included LD Carlson "Easy Clean" to sanitize. I now understant that is not optional. So I'm considering either Starsan or Iodophor. My kitchen has natural stone floors, granite counter tops and enamel sink. Would any of those be stained by iodophor? How about other sanitizers?

Mike

Yes, iodophor will stain just about anything.

Think betadine or iodine. StarSan will not stain anything.

Iodophor really stains if you use warm water. Cold water is the only option for it.
