No...huh...I didn't know there was such a thing as a real IowaPA. I actually grew up in the Des Moines area and moved to MN about 6 years ago. Basically for this recipe, I took the grain bill for a Two Hearted Ale clone and added .5 lbs flaked wheat and I am using the hops in my freezer and part of a yeast cake thats in my fridge. I think I'll have to use .5 lb flaked corn too....

You moved away 6 years ago and it's like you forgot the most important part. If you want it Iowa I would wash some bacon fat and add it, and make sure you get a little pig crap and pesticides in there as well. If you use local water, use river water, it is guaranteed to contain solid amounts of swine feces and pesticides. LOL J/K about the bacon fat I love bacon- where was I? Oh yeah, you can add the corn, not sure why however? I make Iowa Pale Ales all the time and they never use corn. But you can call it anything you want. Good luck.

Kegged: Millenium Galaxy IPA, German Pilsner. Apricot Blonde Ale, ACE Witbier, ACE American Wheat.
Bottled: Smoked Red Rye, Old Tanglefoot Barleywine, Tripel, Dubbel, American Farmhouse Ale
