Default Kilkenny Clone Beer

I am not a home brewer yet, but is there a close clone of the famous Kilkenny beer selling in the U.S.? That was the best beer I had when I visited Australia and looked for a clone for a long time. Someone told me that "Boddingtons" is the closest. I never tried it yet....

Boddington's Bitter or Pub Ale?

I don't taste any similarities to either one to be honest. Much more roastiness in the Kilkenny.

A basic English/Irish style ale with some roasted barley (very little) would get you close enough.
