I'm brewing again, Just and English Pale ale.

I've done my chores and It's getting dark but sod it.
I have the blow torch out and am modding some kit as well.

I'm fed up of boiling 31l of wort to get 20l in the Primary.

6 22oz store boughts to go at though.

6KG pale and .5kg Cara in the mash tun now.
Time For a store Bought Hob Goblin.

CYA in a bit.

Do you have some kind of horrendous evaporation rate, or just a lot of deadspace in the kettle?

50/50.

I did have 5l dead space. I just did a mod and now I have 0.25
I had no syphon going on.

I guess the hops will absorb some of my sweet wort. I think I'll have to suck on the hops and spit the wort into the primary.

I have the bazooka t-screen, but it's essentially the same idea as you have there. I did the same thing, piece of copper into an elbow to mash it to the bottom and it works like a charm. I'll probably get around to doing that "aquarium drainer" setup that sucks the wort right into the fermenter at some point.

3 of the store bought's have gone and I'm feeling it. I've not eaten all day..
But the pheasant and Turkey are done.
25 minutes into the boil.

It gets worse, the two females are pissed and they want food.
Trying to teach one to make gravy and the others stumped by the baguettes.
God knows if they had to do the turkey or beer.

I'm on the home run. The chillers in.
One of the females has gone home.
Time for another beer.

I need to get some SS braid. My bazooka keeps clogging when I use a lot of pellets.

Humm ... Gravy! I wouldn't even bother roasting turkeys, if it wasn't for the gravy.
