Default A good explanation of plato

Does anyone have a good resource to explain plato. I haven't been using it and I'm not sure that I need to.

I basically think of it as another unit of measurement, Plato or Specific Gravity, kind of like degrees F, degrees C and K (Kelvin). I think I got at your question, personal preferrence I suppose.

EDIT: this link might be useful if you want more details: http://brewingtechniques.com/library...3/manning.html

I was looking at a spreadsheet that was posted on one of your threads orfy. It uses Plato and SG and I didn't know why. I guess I don't need to bother with it.

I'd say it like the colour scale. you only need to use one.
