I was curious has anyone made their keezer collar out of cedar.. I was in a buddy's shop he was milling out some cedar.. He made me some boards I could use as a collar.. I was curious on the pro's and con's of using cedar for my collar..

ANy thoughts would be great..

Cedar smells fantastic and is naturally rot resistant so I think it's a good choice.

sounds good.. I think I am going to get it on there then wax the cedar, that would make it look pretty good..

I used heart redwood for rot-resistance. Looks great with just some clear varnish.
