Just brewed first batch 13 days ago, a Brewers Best German Oktoberfest. After about 4-5 days, fermentation ceased and the fg remained at 1.022 for 3 days. Everything has seemed ok, smelt ok, etc. Today checked it and wanted a taste, and opened the lid and looked in, saw some little whitish stringy things floating on the surface. Not very long, maybe 1/8'ish long, took a sample out, tried to find anything on here to get an idea. Chalked it up to maybe yeasty stuff, tasted it... it tastes like beer! Does anyone know exactly what it is?
