Will a Barrel Sided Sanke make a difference for a keggle or mash tun? All the ones i see are regular Sanke kegs. Any advantages or disadvantages to using one.

The big difference is the swell obviously but in reality it will not make any difference when you boil the wort or mash your grains.

It will make a difference if you want to add a sight glass due to the swell getting in the way. Other than that I don't see a problem.

I use a coors keg for one of my keggles. No plans on adding a sight glass. Side by side with my other keggle there is virtually no difference.

Actually, the sight glass kit from bargainfittings will work with the barrel sided kegs. I've got on one an old keystone keg I just converted... doesn't touch the flared side at all.

+1 for pulling out the BFH to solve the problem
Not many problems a good BFH won't solve!

Probably the first person on HBT to intentionally dent his keg.

Most post are 'How do I get this dent out?"

LOL, That is awesome. I should probably invest in a BFH it seems to solve about every problem.

If a BFH won't solve it you must have an electrical problem.
