I may not have known him personally, but I feel like I did. I can see he was a friend of mine in his way.

RIP, Alex Chilton (Box Tops, Big Star, producer of The Cramps, inspiration to thousands of musicians).

Check out this hilarious post over at theoatmeal.com. It's called "Twenty Things Worth Knowing About Beer."

Also, since I bet some of you love Neil Young as much as I do, check out this review of Zuma over at The Brown Tweed Society. Happy (Nearly) Friday!

Harmon / Jay

Very cool. Thanks, Dr. Karma!

Just spent a Saturday grilling steaks and drinking homebrew. Life is good.

Here's a new post--non-musical this time:

Golden Girl Gone Wild: Hot Betty-White-on-SNL Action!

A buddy of mine just brought over a homebrewed chocolate stout....I was skeptical, but it's pretty damn good. Just the right amount of chocolate tones in a perfect stout!

In fact, I drank it (along with the last of my 2009 Scotch Ale) while writing about The Feelies' debut Crazy Rhythms. One of my all-time favorite albums of the 80's!

After a serious illness, I'm back. Hope you HBTers are well! It's good to be alive, innit?

Here's another installment of my Estranged Brew Review, if you please:
Estranged Brew Review: Bud Light Lime’s Lime-A-Rita

Hint: The beer snob in me was not very impressed!
