Default Most expensive beer and was it worth it?

What was the most expensive beer that you bought and was it worth it?

Got a bottle of Deus for Christmas.

http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/deus-br...landres/18912/

I think it was about $30 or $1.20 an ounce. Was it worth it..No..It was a great beer but I woudn't pay that much for it.

Oh, I've had that beer before. It was beautiful!

I think the most I've spent was $20 on a bottle of Russian River Consecration. It was worth every sour penny.

I have some Utopias that I got for Xmas. Havnt opened it yet though.

Russian River beers are worth every cent though. I have had most of them and now that I am not in CA anymore, would gladly pay double for a few bottles.

Dark Kriek from New Belgium http://www.newbelgium.com/beer/dark-kriek and the Transatlantic Kriek http://www.newbelgium.com/beer/transatlantique-kriek . I think I paid $17 each for 22 oz bottles when I visited the brewery a few months ago. They were great beers to try, but I can't justify paying that much on a regular basis.

I got lucky on that actually. A friend ordered a case of Consecration from Liquid Solutions. He didn't get an invoice or email confirmation of the order, so he ordered again thinking it didn't take the first time. The next day, both invoices came through. I was able to buy a few from that extra case he had.

Yeah, Consecration is the most expensive beer I have ever bought. Followed close behind by Cantillon Grand Cru. Both 100% worth the cost and I would and will pay again.

I bought a 750 of RR Supplication at Monk's Cafe for $35 and a 375ml of Lost Abbey Red Poppy at Toronado for $27. Both worth it.

hmm. Utopias is obviously the most expensive beer anyone can buy, so that's my answer. And sure it was worth it. Was it the best thing I've ever had? Nah, but it was a cool experience.

I've bought a good number of bottles at 25-30 a bottle. Most have been pretty great. Consecration, Temptation, FW11-13, and plenty more have all been very much worth it.
