I'm looking for an all grain Irish red ale recipe.

Preferably tried and true with many accolades!

Has anyone brewed one that is outstanding?

When I open that link it shows no entrys. Am I missing something?

Hmmm, it works for me. You can also find the recipe database on the main menu page, right below the 'soda making' subforum.

I can't take credit for this, but I think it turns out great. I think it really comes into its own after 2+ months of aging.

Irish Red Ale
11 lb Vienna
.5lb Crystal 30
.25lb Roasted Barley
1 lb Carapils
1oz Fuggles 40min
1oz East Kent Goldings 10min
Mash @ 154

I've used US-04, US-05 and Notty on it and it has turned out great every time.

I'm surprised at how many people have loved my Irish Red. A fellow homebrewer and beer snob I work with had a bottle and said that was the only bottle of homebrew that when he was finished he was aggravated he didn't have another one. Another guy I work with said the same thing. Other "normies" have loved it as well - BMC drinkers, but open to other things. One of my friends wants me to brew a keg of it for him. I plan on entering it in a comp soon. I think I am also going to try a lower crystal malt so it's not as dark, not sure how much that will change the flavor. It's a dark ruby in the light, in a pint glass.
