Default Long time for yeast to wait

Noobee here

On first batch in 20 years I put the hot wort in the bucket without cooling it down. I have put the fermenter out doors to cool down, but my starter yeast is still in water. Will my yeast go bad after it sits in the glass until the wert cools.
